As an educator I want my students to enjoy learning and be excited about coming to school. School should be a place where students can thrive to learn new ideas and concepts. It is important to me to get to know each children on a friendly and personal level. By doing this I can bring the things they like, hobbies and interests, into the class. As a teacher I can provide my students with the enthusiasm to make school a fun place, so they can reach their full potential. I am aware that all students are different and learn differently. Building a strong relationship with my students it will give them the encouragement and positive reinforcement to reach their goals. It is important to me to make sure each child knows I am there for them, I am a friend, and that I want them to succeed. Through this relationship I will be able to learn their strengths and weakness, and their learning style. This will allow me to give my students a variety of teaching styles to help them increase their ability to learn new ideas and concepts.

My loving nurturing personally will allow for my students to feel comfortable to come to me for help. I want all my students to be the best they can be and inspire others to be the best they can be. Being a friend to someone, adult or peer, is so much more then just being nice; it is being helpful, empathic, trusting, cheerful, respectful (of space, property, and ideas), supporting, listening, etc. It is important to make sure my students understand that they are accountable for their actions; this means doing the right even when no one is looking, saying sorry, and learning from their mistakes. My classroom will be loving, friendly, and a safe environment for children to learn in. It is important to me that everyone who enters my classroom feels accept and treated with the respect they deserve.
